Remington Remette Typewriter

A working  Remington Remette from 1941 in black textured paint with metal rimmed round keys!
Your basic typewriter with no bells and whistles. A minimalist version of the Remington portables, the Remette literally does not have a bell. It also lacks the paper finger (Standard version), left hand platen knob, ribbon selector, and Margin Release key (but it does have a  Margin Release lever at the carriage).
Yet even without all these features, the Remette is listed as a "Consumer Reports Best Buy" in 1941.
 
Comes with the original wood hard case and an extra ribbon.

Used, Good working condition - some damage on the Remington decal at the back paper table; some scratches and marks consistent with age. 
Original wood case is in good condition and still good for storage - leather handle is cracked but has good internal structure. No key/s.
